Received a call a “new customer” and said they need a new system. I arrived and the homeowner greeted me and said that they had another company come out to do a maintenance on the air conditioning system. That company told the homeowner they need a new system for bacteria! New one to me, I checked the evaporator coil had some dirt on it but was not hurting the system. I then looked at the outside unit and found the other company did not clean the condenser coil. The system was working fine did NOT need to be replaced .Always get a second opinion! There was nothing wrong with this unit (old) but not needing replacement. I cleaned the condenser coil for my new customer. Thanks to the company that just tried to sell them a new system.

We had received a call from a customer that wanted a new system. I went out to this nice elderly woman’s house to find nothing working and has not been for about 3 weeks she has a gas furnace that another company had told her it could not be repaired. She had told me that they gave her a price of $8200 for a new system and kept calling her to sell her a new system! I asked her to let me check if it can be repaired. I found a bad ignition control (circuit board) that was shorted. When our customers call us to come out to repair their heating and air conditioning system they expect us to know how to repair the equipment!!! Not just to try to sell a new system. The only part that was bad was the circuit board that cost her $600. The contactor on the left of the unit was added because the board failure,did not need to be installed. I hope the service tech that did not know how to diagnose the system will go get some more training . This is the reason you call a qualified company.
