Laborers Immediate Hire - Underground Construction
Small, non-union underground construction company located in Winters seeking Laborers for jobs in the Sacramento, Yolo, Solano and surrounding counties. Our specialty is joint trench dry utilities: gas, electric, CATV and telephone. Experience preferred, however, we are willing to train new employees. The Laborer position performs tasks including: digging, back filling, pulling wire, setting boxes and cleaning sites. Use of entry level construction equipment and basic hand tools.
Must be able to follow directions and communicate clearly with a team.
Must be fast-paced and maintain consistent work output.
Ability to work in extreme weather and temperature conditions.
Must be able to climb, sit, bend, stoop, stand or walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift heavy and awkward loads up to 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable working in tight spaces.
Must comply with all company policies and safety procedures.
Possess a valid California Drivers License

We special in Joint Trench Dry Utilities: Gas, Electric, CATV and Telephone. Minimum 2-4 years Foreman experience. Must be able to read and decipher Individual Utility Plans and Composites. Proficient with utility standards and requirements; Experience in CATV, PG&E Gas and Electric, SMUD, AT&T, Street Light systems, concrete flat work; Operate 580 Case Backhoe, CAT Skid Steer, CAT Mini Excavator; Perform daily field inspection of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices; Review daily production reports, material usage, tracking of hours worked; Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary; Must be capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions; Must be able to bend, squat and kneel, climb ladders and scaffolding; Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds unassisted; Possess a valid California Drivers License; Possess Gas Qualifications Certifications.
