In 1976, Charles (Skip) Nedrow made his mark on the Midwest by offering a range of refractory construction services. Bringing his expertise in refractor

y products and applications, James (Jim) Chase joined four years later to forge Chase Nedrow Industries. What started with serving the refractory consuming industries evolved into refractory special shapes, installation services, high emissivity coatings, and beyond. From our headquarters in Wixom, Michigan, we expanded our reach across North America through our commitment to quality, attention to detail, and customer service. From embracing early advancements in low moisture, low cement castables to leveraging modern castables coupled with our 2400°F firing capabilities, we have consistently stayed on the cutting edge. When we set out to redesign our website, the goal was not simply a cleaner layout. The real challenge was building a tool that works the way our customers think.

When dryers struggle, producers may experience high fuel bills, uneven DDGS moisture, and shortened refractory life.

In aluminum facilities, the hidden cost often is not in the burners, the flux, or the charge rate. It is in the heat escaping through doors, rooflines, and launders.

During furnace operations, it is easy to overlook the impact of thermal inefficiency. A compromised refractory system forces furnaces to burn more fuel just to hold temperature. That means higher gas consumption, faster lining wear, and more dross.
