We’re proud to reshare this story from International Federation of Robotics 2026 Women in Robotics spotlight featuring our own Asami Sasao of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.

What stands out is not only her technical impact, but her journey from learning programming on the job to seeing entire production lines powered by her work, Asami-san took great pride in her work and purpose in bringing robots to life.

As her career progressed, so did her life outside of work. Like many women, she faced the expectation to step away after starting a family. Instead, with the support of her colleagues, leaders, and loved ones, she chose to continue building her path in robotics.

The goal?
