Empire Fruit Growers Co-Op Inc. The members of the cooperative are Doyle Farms, Inc., Teeple Farms, Inc., Tree Crisp Orchards, LLC, VanFleet Orchards LLC, and Wafler Farms, Inc. ft.

The purpose of the Co-Op is to pack and market fresh apples for the members. Our new facility was built in 2011. It is a 70,000 Sq. building constructed by Chrisanntha Construction Corp. We have a 6 lane packing line with an external sorter by MAF Industries. The electrical and plumbing infrastructure was done by Halco MEPS. Van Ernst Refrigeration provided the refrigeration units for the 3 cooler

s which total 22,000 Sq. We employ 46 people during our season which generally runs from September through June. The capacity of the line is to run 4000 bushels of apples in an 8 hour shift. Financing for our project was provided by The Lyons National Bank, Wayne County Industrial Development Agency, Empire State Development, Rochester Gas & Electric, and NYSERDA (New York Energy Research & Development Authority.
