Lake Region Porch & Deck Renovation Complete

We just wrapped up a full porch and deck renovation in the Lakes Region and the results speak for themselves.

What We Did:

Structural Improvements and Replacements
• Stripped out the existing decking and old structural columns
• Reinforced and prepped the underlying frame
• Installed new square structural columns

Finishing Touches and New Materials
• Replaced all handrails
• Finished with premium mahogany decking

The mahogany was the right call here — rich, warm tones, excellent longevity, and a classic look that feels right at home on a Lakes Region property.
The result is a porch that's as solid as it is beautiful. Better bones, better finish, better everything.

We are so proud of how this kitchen transformation came out! 🏡

This project was a full gut and redesign — and the results speak for themselves. We're talking a brand new layout with a custom island, a stunning farmhouse apron sink, a statement range hood, leaded glass upper cabinets with in-cabinet lighting, beautiful new countertops, lantern pendant lighting, and crown molding throughout.

A big shout out to Dianne Willand at Fred Varney Kitchens for her hard work on the design and for providing the beautiful cabinetry — she was a pleasure to work with!

Old kitchens have a way of hiding their potential. This one had plenty — we just helped bring it out.

This is a bathroom transformation we just completed on Merrymeeting Lake in New Durham, NH! 🚿✨

From outdated and cramped to spacious, modern spa-like perfection! We did a full demo down to the studs: replaced those old paneled walls with fresh moisture-resistant drywall, added sleek PVC wainscoting, a classic chair rail, and a durable Bath & Spa paint finish.

We completely updated the electrical, installed recessed lighting in the ceiling, and added a super-convenient 4-in-1 unit (main light + night light + ventilation fan + electric heater that warms you right up as you step out of the shower 😍).

The big game-changer? We removed the old shower setup and reconfigured the space to fit a full-size tub AND shower combo. That meant borrowing a bit from the bedroom wall and closet — but by building smart new partitions, we created a beautiful alcove with a custom niche that perfectly complements the shower area. So much better flow and functionality!

A thorough demolition of the existing bathroom was undertaken to implement a new layout, which incorporated the installation of a whirlpool bath tub, the relocation of the toilet, and the removal of the existing tub to accommodate a new walk-in shower. This process necessitated the jackhammering of the concrete slab to reconfigure the plumbing in accordance with the new design. A recessed shower pan was installed to enable a curbless entry.

The renovation project in Tuftonboro, NH has achieved a successful outcome. Following a complete removal of all interior surfaces, this camp, situated in the hills of the lakes region, has been revitalized. The project involved the installation of new walls and partitions, floors, electrical systems, and plumbing. The bathroom has been fully updated, and a new kitchen with modern appliances has been included. Structural issues were identified and rectified, enhancing the stability of the building more than it has been in years.

A before and after of a home that had old, deteriorating vinyl siding, insufficient exterior lighting, an uninviting entryway, and overhead power lines is presented here. The power lines were moved underground, and the vinyl siding was replaced with cedar shakes and new trim. All windows and doors were replaced, and a porch addition was constructed on the front, complete with full steps extending down the entire 24 ft length of the porch. The driveway side has been redesigned as the "front entry," with additional features such as a large barn door and a decorative hayloft door, enhancing the appearance of the walk-out side to resemble the front of a barn.

An identical porch will be added to the backside, along with some uncovered open deck space. Further enhancements will include a lit cupola and stone veneer on the exposed areas of the foundation, which will be completed shortly.
