Complications.
It’s not uncommon for a retention screw to “loosen” but not fracture! What about multiple screw failures? Cyclical fatigue, like bending a paper clip back and forth until it exceeds its modulus of elasticity and fractures.
Is the cause poor prosthetic design or did it start with improper surgical placement or was it untreated sleep apnea. Fun fact, post prosthetic, implant therapy failure is 300% more likely in patients who have untreated OSA.
