10. Emerald Downs – Auburn, WA
A golden opportunity Sierra in 1996 was the chance to be involved with the reincarnation of horse racing in Western Washington. The NW Racing Association approached Sierra to aid in moving the racetrack from Renton down to Auburn. Sierra was the construction manager on the entire track facility, and the general contractor on the backstretch facilities.

In 2016, the Emerald Downs team reconnected with Sierra to complete a massive overhaul of the 5th floor.

6. Eagle Hardware
The same individuals who helped bring Sierra to Paine Field were also investors in Eagle Hardware. To start, they gave Sierra the opportunity to build three new locations for them. Those three projects would become Sierra’s first opportunity to do multiple buildings simultaneously. This also led to Sierra’s only Alaska based project; a 164,000 square foot Eagle Hardware in Anchorage, Alaska. Sierra eventually completed eight Eagle Hardware buildings in the early to mid ‘90s.
