Hygieia Biological Laboratories is a Woodland, California based biotechnology company engaged in the research, development and manufacturing of innovative veterinary and human vaccines and pharmaceuticals. We have particular expertise in vaccines for dairy,
poultry, cattle and small ruminants, with products in development for aquaculture. Although our primary technical focus is on infectious disease, toxins, venoms and cancers, we are equipped to solve almost any disease problem using artful combinations of traditional, modern and novel technology. Among many firsts, Hygieia is the only company in the world that manufactures commercial vaccines against a venom. We were the first company to manufacture a vaccine against bovine mastitis caused by Streptococcus uberis and the first company to manufacture a commercial vaccine against epizootic bovine abortion. We employ a community of 70 people dedicated to the control of disease. The Company occupies 100,000 square feet of laboratory and associated facilities and is growing rapidly.
