Friday, Dr. Fahrenheit stood outside to honor First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan as he was brought home.
Tyler was only 25 years old. a Georgia native and U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery officer who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
As parents, there are some things you simply cannot comprehend. The thought of losing a child is one of them. No parent should ever have to face the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to their son or daughter, especially in service to the country they loved.
Standing along the road Friday, was an incredibly emotional reminder of the sacrifice carried not only by those who serve, but by the families who love them.
We cannot take away the pain of his family’s loss, but we can stand beside them, honor Tyler’s life, and make sure his sacrifice is remembered.
Our deepest prayers are with Tyler’s family, friends, fellow soldiers, and everyone who loved him.
First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, thank you for your service and your sacrifice.
May you rest peacefully, and may your family always know that your life and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
