To the family, friends, and the gaming community,

On behalf of Polygon3D, we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Ernie Gygax. His contributions to tabletop gaming, his passion for storytelling, and his dedication to the legacy of Dungeons & Dragons have left an indelible mark on the industry and the countless lives he touched.

Ernie’s creativity and spirit helped shape the worlds we explore and the adventures we cherish. His influence will continue to inspire generations of gamers, creators, and dreamers. While his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy will endure at every table where dice are rolled, stories unfold, and friendships are forged.

Our thoughts are with his family, loved ones, and the entire gaming community during this difficult time. May his journeys continue beyond this realm, and may we honor his memory by carrying forward the joy and imagination he brought into our world.

Ernest "Ernie" Gygax Jr., son of D&D co-creator Gary Gygax and an early playtester of Dungeons & Dragons, has passed away. The Gygax family confirmed the news via Gary Con's website today. Cause of death was not given, but Gygax had been hospitalized several times in recent years. Gygax is best...
