Dr. Katrina Cornish is an Ohio Research Scholar and Endowed Chair in Bioemergent Materials with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Her laboratory works in research and commercialization of alternative sources of natural rubber and other bioproducts. In 2010, Dr. Cornish partnered with The Ohio State University and Cornish Lab was born. Cornish Lab is working to develop
the next alternative rubber crop for the US market. TK (Taraxacum kok-saghyz) commonly known as Russian Dandelion produces natural rubber in its roots. A commercial crop is forthcoming to ease the anticipated shortfall of imported Hevea rubber from Asia. Please check back often as we update photos, videos, and events.
