Employee appreciation post incoming!

Here at Lowes Sheet Metal, we truly do have the best crew around. The guys have been extremely busy handling the work load as normal. Lately, however, they have had absolutely zero down time as we took on a huge custom metal order. In addition to the daily preventative maintenance, service calls, changing out bad furnaces, and even installing 3 new roof top units with all the bells & whistles, these guys kept pursuing excellence! All of this on top of our custom metal order!

We were asked to make 2,000 aluminum trays with a removable gate. This product helps our customer transport and distribute their vaccines in a more reasonable format. In the past we have been asked to make a hundred or two hundred, sometimes even five hundred. This is the first time we were asked to make two thousand! It has been a very time consuming process, but the guys are knocking it out of the park!

Again, we are blessed with the best crew. They have managed additional work load extremely well. We are very thankful for our employees!

Assuming alot of our followers have noticed our sign in the landscaping has been missing for a while. Due to age and mother nature we had to do some repairs to our old sign as she was in rough shape. In doing so, we also asked our sign guy to redo our other signs to the new colors, and add an additional "shop entrance" sign!

We are slowly rebranding the buisness to accommodate a new color scheme. Though we hate to see the original Lowe's color fade, we are excited to roll out the new black and blue theme. So, without further ado, here are our new rebranded signs we added to the shop this week!

Over the next few years we will slowly switch the vehicles to also show off this new color scheme! Excited to see all of our branding match and share a consistent color scheme!

✔️ Keep vents clear of snow or animal nests!
✔️ If your system sounds, smells, or even feels off — call us ASAP!

Let this severe weather serve as reminder to schedule your annual furnace inspection to help avoid that dreaded breakdown! Have you had your furnace inspected for the season?

What started as a furnace overheating issue for the customer, turned into quite the undertaking.

Earlier this week we were called to take a look at correcting a furnace that seemed to be overheating. We discovered multiple issues with this system, however, we used an inspection camera and discovered the main issue being a plugged evaporator coil.

The air filter replacement schedule was being followed, however the filter installation method was not the best practice as it let a lot of unfiltered air pass by, and was a pain to change for the customer.

After thoroughly cleaning the entire furnace and the evaporator coil, we discussed a few options with the customer to help correct this issue. We ultimately decided on installing a new, substantially larger and more effective filtering system into the return air cabinet. This new filter offers almost 300% more surface air volume than the previous undersized filter.

Let this be a great reminder to schedule those furnace inspections, and keep those air filters replaced on a proper, routine schedule! As well as be sure the filter sizing is correct!
