Position Overview
We are seeking a CDL Driver / Vacuum Excavation Operator with a strong understanding of subsurface utility infrastructure to operate our state-of-the-art vacuum excavation equipment. The ideal candidate will have a CDL (Class A or B), hands-on experience in vacuum excavation, and a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
Operate vacuum excavation trucks and equipment to safely expose underground utilities and perform excavation tasks.
Read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and worksite plans.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including OSHA and DOT regulations.
Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Collaborate with team members and clients to complete projects on time and to specification.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, including job site reports and equipment maintenance logs.
Identify and mitigate risks to avoid damage to underground utilities.
Qualifications
Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
Experience operating vacuum excavation equipment (preferred).
Strong knowledge of subsurface utility infrastructure, including gas, water, fiber optics, and electrical lines.
Ability to read and interpret utility locates and blueprints.
Understanding of excavation safety practices and regulations.
Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
