Another corner cutting builder! They used white vinyl ducting for the dryer. The customer had 2 heating elements burn out because of clogs and inefficient venting. They are lucky it didn't result in a fire! We replaced everything with metal duct that will outlast anything else out there. These corners are cut in townhomes and condos all the time. Another out of code dryer duct from a builder today. They used 3inch PVC and a cheap, very restrictive vent outside. The customer's dryer was running for hours and not drying laundry. His energy bills were running rampant! Elite Duct Care LLC removed and replaced it with a 4inch metal duct utilizing cold weather UL listed metal tape for durability and longevity. We replaced that old restricting vent with a new one and since it was a second floor dryer, we threw in a free bird cage to keep the nests out! The customer is now drying safely and like never before with less out of pocket expense. Now that's what I call the Elite Difference!

Be sure that your Dryer is venting outside of your home or apartment! The building codes changed in 2006. If your home was built before this, your dryer duct may not be compliant! We performed a full rebuild for this customer. The duct was venting into the hot and humid attic. Not only is this incredibly hard on your machine, it will lead to longer running times and higher energy bills! The builders in this circumstance utilized drain pipe and duct tape. They did not vent it outside the condo either! Call for a free estimate whether it's for a rebuild or a cleaning!
