Expert Mechanical crews beat the heat for a Detroit based nursing care facility. After the failure of the building's existing air conditioning system time became a critical factor as the 10 day forecast was to be in the upper 90's with the heat indexes to hit near records of above 100. In just 24 hours the team managed to truck in and temporarily install a 140-Ton water chiller along with chilled water supply/return piping up the side of a 5 story building. Electrical was another major challenge that required bringing in and wiring a transformer to boost voltage from 230 to 480 3-phase at 400 amps. By 7p.m. on Tuesday the building had full air conditioning restored. Great job to all involved!
