I don't post much anymore, but I thought it was a good time to share.
Brad Laurine and staff did an amazing job at the Barto. The venue was out of this world. I am sure someone could find something to complain about, but just let it go. Okay fine the hamburger sliders were blah....hahaha....
The Kalahari is the largest indoor water park in the USA from my understanding. It had everything you needed from shopping, food, and entertainment. Kid and family friendly. It just happened to also land on a very Interesting? Entertaining? Bizarre? Convention for another group...hmmmm....
The tournament was a success and the staff was accommodating and fair.
I played great and I sucked, but hey that's what I do. Thanks to all my partners for putting up with my ass...I wish I could have helped out a little more and closed out a few of those tight matches. I'm still learning... I'm a slooooow learner.... Wait till you see me at 95...
For me personally, I can't complain about my overall results, but I still feel like I didn't play up to my full potential and was a little bit of an anchor for a few specific matches.
I feel it is necessary to say, each one of my partners played awesome. I am not just blowing smoke. I really mean that. They fought hard every ball and they put up with my ass (that's the most difficult part). Right? No comment from the Dallas crew... Stick it in your pipe. Thanks to John Myers , Gena Murray , and Hannah Dee Smith
The Barto is really about honoring our fallen foosers, and I think at the end of the day, that is why we were really there. I felt like I actually was able to interact with more people this year, well more then I normally do at a tournament for sure. Shared a few strategies, stories, and laughed a little at how serious we take this game.
Until next time...
