A longtime Happy Day member in Plano put their complimentary annual drain clearing to work on a slow bathroom sink. ☀️🔧

Inspection showed the restriction was limited to the pop-up assembly, where normal soap scum and debris had collected.

✅ Removed the tubular P-trap
✅ Cleaned the pop-up mechanism and trap
✅ Reassembled the piping
✅ Filled and drained the basin repeatedly to verify full flow and no leaks

The sink is draining normally again. We also recommended periodic Bio-One treatment to help reduce future organic buildup.

Possible slab leak? We tested both sides of the system in Allen, TX. 🔎💧

A structural engineer suggested a slab leak, so we performed sewer-and-water testing with a camera inspection.

✅ Installed a test ball at the main cleanouts
✅ Monitored the filled sewer system for head loss
✅ Camera-inspected the sewer line
✅ Isolated the home’s water supply
✅ Monitored pressure at the front hose bib
✅ Both sewer and water systems passed

No leaks were indicated during testing. The homeowner received a completed test form with measurements and results.

✅ Checked the water heaters and FloodStop valve
✅ Ran fixtures for 10 minutes with no pressure loss
✅ Found weak FloodStop batteries likely caused the earlier issue
✅ Camera-inspected the pool drain from two access points
✅ Located backfall and a significant pipe belly
✅ Marked the trouble spot for repair planning

The homeowner can resume normal water use while monitoring the pressure. The pool-drain defect was diagnosed; no pipe repair was completed.

A new customer wanted a taller, elongated toilet installed at a family home.

✅ Removed the existing toilet
✅ Found the fl**ge in good condition but unsecured
✅ Anchored the fl**ge to the concrete
✅ Installed an extra-tall Kohler toilet
✅ Upgraded the supply line to stainless steel
✅ Tested the home’s water pressure

Testing found extremely high pressure. We explained the risks and options and recommended a pressure-reducing valve. It was not installed during this visit.

A gas odor near the garage led to a confirmed gas-riser leak in Wylie, TX. 🔥🔧

After the fire department and Atmos shut off the gas and identified the 90-degree elbow at the house riser, a new customer called us for the repair.

✅ Confirmed the leaking elbow
✅ Removed the union and accessible riser fittings
✅ Installed new fittings and reconnected the house piping
✅ Pressure-tested the whole-home system at 3 PSI for 15–20 minutes
✅ Reconnected the meter and painted the new exterior fittings
✅ Pulled the permit and passed city inspection

The system held pressure with no loss.

Water pouring from behind a hallway water heater at a Pilot Point rental called for careful leak tracing. 💧🔎

Water was visible through the already-open air vents, but the source was higher inside the wall and couldn’t be seen from above the heater.

✅ Opened the sheetrock behind the water heater
✅ Located a pinhole leak in the copper pipe
✅ Removed the leaking section
✅ Installed a new piece of copper
✅ Restored the water and checked the repair

No object was found against the pipe, so the exact cause was unclear; aging pipe may have contributed. After repair, no additional leaks were detected.

A new customer reported an overflowing toilet and exterior cleanouts, even after a recent septic service.

✅ Located a hard blockage about 30 feet into the main line
✅ Cleared the obstruction with the K-3800 sewer machine
✅ Reinspected the line to the septic tank
✅ Found a dropped, apparently broken tank connection
✅ Flushed multiple toilets and ran water to verify flow

The drains were flowing when we finished, but the damaged connection still requires permanent repair. We advised avoiding heavy drain loads and provided repair options for the homeowner to review.

A repeated AC condensate alarm brought us to a new customer’s home in Dallas, TX. 💧

Our technician inspected the drain connection and found a failed glue joint beside the alarm tee.

✅ Cut out the tee to access and test the piping
✅ Confirmed the plumbing drain and condensate line were flowing properly
✅ Reglued the failed joint
✅ Tested the completed repair for leaks
✅ Verified proper drainage

No leaks or plumbing blockages were found after the repair. Because the condensate line is draining correctly, we recommended having an HVAC technician inspect the AC unit and alarm.
