Hendricks Heating & Cooling Hendricks Heating is a 4th generation family owned and operated company quietly providing comfort for residential and commercial buildings since 1930.

History

Hendricks Heating & Air Conditioning LLC is a family owned business. Hendricks Heating was started in 1930 by Herman Hendricks in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They originally began by installing cast iron furnaces delivered to your home with a horse and wagon. In the 1960's, Herm Hendricks sold the business to his niece's husband, Gerald DeVries. The business was then moved to Grandville Avenue, north of Hall Street where it operated for many years. Gerald's son, John, joined the business as a teenager and became a partner with Gerald in the mid 1980's. Gerald's other son, Paul, joined the business in the early 1990's and bought Gerald's portion of the business. John's son, Jeff, joined the company in the late 1990's and is in the process of buying into the business. The company moved to its present location on Chicago Drive, just west of Burlingame, in 2003. Times have changed and so has the face of our business. Hendricks now has a fleet of trucks to provide our customers with state of the art equipment and with state of the art service.

With the air quality being so poor from the Canadian wildfires please be sure to change your furnace/ AC filter! Most homes pull fresh air from outside right into your homes duct system. Make sure the fan setting on your thermostat is set to "auto" and not "on" or "circulate" until the smoke clears outside.
If you have an ERV for ventilation turn it down today. If you have any air quality questions comment, call or text 616-452-6064.

These are the cooling centers working with the city of GR to help people keep cool. Libraries are an awesome place to hang out and beat the heat.
Going to the movies or the mall are always good options too. A stroll down the produce isle is hard to beat if you get hit with the sprayers!
