Did you know??
Most standard household carbon monoxide detectors aren’t designed to alert you to low levels of CO. You could have 50 ppm of carbon monoxide in your home and your detector may never go off. Under UL 2034, a standard alarm isn’t even required to sound until 70 ppm, and even then it can take up to 4 hours. That’s why routine furnace maintenance and proper CO testing are important. Just because your detector isn’t going off doesn’t mean there’s no carbon monoxide present.
