Our NOHR Wortmann Engineering Family Summer Party was a STRIKE! 🎳

Our team and their families kicked off the afternoon with lunch at River Rocks Event Center before heading to Yankton Bowl for some friendly competition. There were plenty of laughs, a little healthy rivalry, and of course a few prizes handed out along the way!

Please help us welcome the newest member of our team, Darren Nissen!

We've added another Hardrocker to the office! Darren graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Originally from Wausa, Nebraska, Darren has returned to the area where he farms alongside his engineering career. He and his wife, Alex, have three daughters who keep them plenty busy. When he's not changing diapers, farming, or tending to his chickens, you'll likely find him riding motorcycles, camping, or fishing.

We're excited to have Darren join the Nohr Wortmann Engineering team and look forward to the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm he brings to our crew.

Help us welcome the newest member of the NOHR Wortmann Engineering team, Mayson Ostermeyer!

Mayson joins us this summer as our engineering intern. He grew up in Crofton, Nebraska, and after graduating high school, headed to Concordia University in Seward, NE, where he's studying pre-engineering with minors in computer programming and mathematics.

When he's not hitting the books, you'll likely find him soaring over a pole vault bar. So, in other words, he's smart and an athlete — a pretty impressive combination!

In his first few weeks with us, Mayson has already been assisting on job sites and working hard in the office to help streamline our engineers' workflow. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed have made him a great addition to the team.

At this rate, we're not sure we're going to be ready to let him go when fall arrives!

Thank you for your patience and support as window & facade restoration work begins on the historic Wagner Building in downtown Yankton.

Projects like this take time, care, and a shared commitment to preserving the stories and character of our community. While construction and temporary inconveniences are never easy, every step forward brings new life to landmark buildings in our downtown district. 

We are incredibly grateful for the encouragement, understanding, and excitement shown by our neighbors, downtown businesses, visitors, and supporters throughout this process. The future of the Wagner Building is taking shape, and we cannot wait to share it with you.
