Mig welding steel is pretty basic stuff, but there's always room to learn something on every project. This was a fun project making some custom reinforcing frames for a tractor.

Stainless steel 5" into dual 4" exhaust I fabricated for my 3rd Gen cummins pickup last year using a combination of a dual 4" catback system and some 5" stainless pipe, if I did it over I'd fab the whole system from scratch as I had to modify every single piece in the kit (diamond eye brand BTW) to get it all to fit. I'm not exactly sure why, but no one that I can find manufactures this system commercially. You can buy a single full 5" system or a 4" into dual 4" system all day long, but not a 5" into dual 4" which to me flow wise makes a lot more sense. I also tried it the Jones Turbine muffler on this build and I absolutely love it. I came from a full 5" system with I believe a mbrp high flow muffler before this ( I couldn't read the stamp on the muffler very well as it was quite corroded), I hated the way that system sounded. It had a very nasal exhaust note at idle, and the cab drone was so bad at cruising speeds I would get a headache towing a trailer, really the drone was the loudest part of the whole system. This current system is the exact opposite in every way. Nice deep sound at idle with that signature dual sound overlaid onto it, coming off of idle there's a nice deep grunt, lay into it on the highway and you get that dual exhaust cackle, settle down to cruise speed and it all goes away and leaves you with a nice smooth rumble, there is basically no drone at any speed other than maybe right off of idle with this system.

Sorry for the long write-up but I'm very ecstatic about how this build turned out.
