Did you know that women make up only about 16% of the engineering workforce? We believe our girls deserve more opportunities to lead, build, and innovate—and it starts now.
Young Thinkers of York is proud to announce that for the 2026–2027 FIRST® LEGO® League season, we will be launching another competitive, all-girls robotics team! 🤖✨ Our mission is to inspire girls to explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) while building confidence, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving skills that can lead to exciting, high-paying careers such as engineering, architecture, computer science, or data analytics.
👧 Who can apply?
Girls currently in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade
Students in York and Lancaster Counties
Curious, motivated, and ready to work hard in a fun, supportive environment
📅 Program Details:
FREE, year-long program beginning approximately March 2026
Practices held at the YMCA of the Roses
School year: 2–3 practices per week (M, W)
Summer: 1 practice per week
Practice time: 5:30–7:30 PM
