Spartan Scientific was formed in 1978 with a mission to redefine industrial solenoid valves and related products.

Spartan Scientific manufactures USA made drain valves, solenoid valves, operators and interchangeable coils for the fluid power, processing, mobile & agriculture and automation industries. We started with DIN quick connect solenoid coils, quick mounting solenoid operators and interchangeable coil versions. Spartan has effectively reduced installation costs and related setup while reducing retrofits and service times. Spartan solenoid valves incorporate fully encapsulated coils and the highest quality brass and stainless steel in every assembly. Our solenoid operators can be placed directly into your assembly for a neater, more compact end product which meets functional as well as aesthetic demands. Many of the products manufactured by Spartan Scientific are specials, or variations of standard products. Spartan strives to meet tough challenges with innovative design. If you do not see a specific valve or accessory, please ask one of our sales consultants for additional information or the possibility of Spartan producing a special product for your application. We are known for our qualtiy solenoid valve timers, electronic shut off valves, air compressor drain valves, condensate drain valves and water drain pump valves.

Investing in what’s next.

As we celebrate Manufacturing Month, Canfield Industries, parent company of Canfield Connector and Spartan Scientific, is continuing to invest in the equipment, capabilities, and people that help us manufacture more right here in Youngstown, Ohio.

Our newest addition is a 260-ton Q-Series injection molding press, expanding our in-house manufacturing capacity and giving our teams the ability to support larger components and new product designs across both Canfield Connector and Spartan Scientific.

This investment is another step in expanding what we can design and manufacture internally while strengthening our commitment to our customers, our employees, and our Made in the USA foundation.

The video captures the arrival of the new press and one more milestone in the continued growth of our manufacturing capabilities.
