Industrial wastewater treatment facility is looking for plant personnel to assist in the processing and treatment of used oils and contaminated waste waters. Individual must have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a general aptitude test, be dependable, get along well with others, eager to learn, good communicator and attentive to detail. Willingness to work different shifts and some overtime will be mandatory.

Starting wage will be $16.50 per hour and increase to $17.00 per hour after 90-day probationary period. Pay rate can increase over time and merit to $22.00 per hour. Benefits include paid vacations, holidays, sick-time, and personal time, work uniforms and safety shoe allowance, medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as short term disability and life insurance.

Headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio Environmental Specialists, Inc. is the leading provider of regulated waste management services. Our services and product solutions are utilized by industrial/manufacturing facilities as well as automotive, trucking and equipment maintenance and repair facilities. Our process includes wastewater treatment, used/waste oil processing and solvent recycling.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance duties as required for sustained plant operations. Priorities of the maintenance technician include, ex*****on of PM schedules, repair of equipment necessary to maintain required production rates, and maintain adequate spare parts inventory. This position requires the ability to work 40+ hours a week and weekends as may be needed. Some on-call duties may also be required.


Job Skills

This position requires the following:

General industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic skills in trouble shooting.

Knowledge of 3 phase industrial wiring and distribution.

Familiar with gear and air diaphragm pumps and drive motors.

General understanding of steam boiler operations.

Ability to weld utilizing arc and mig welding a plus.

Good communication skills.

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

Educational Requirements

High school/Vocational school diploma or equivalent required.

Technical level-electrical, pneumatic, welding-preferred.

Experience

2+ years industrial maintenance, electrical maintenance.

Physical requirements

Employee will lift and move heavy items up to 50 pounds.

Employee will work day turn but must be willing to work other shifts as maintenance demands require.

Employee will be handling tools and material daily that requires the physical ability to use hands, arms and legs.

The position requires a full range of motion including twisting, bending, reaching and squatting.
