Mountain Ready Mix

A new chapter for a familiar place!
Mountain Ready Mix may have closed its doors, but we’re excited to share that Sousa Ready Mix will be taking over the Mountain Ready Mix plant!

Even better, a familiar face will still be there. Stefanie has been asked to join the Sousa Ready Mix crew and will continue as Plant Manager & Dispatch for the plant, right where you’ve known her for the last 8 years.
Same plant, familiar face, new name — and we’re excited to see concrete rolling out of this yard again! 🚛💙

Thank you to everyone who supported Mountain Ready Mix over the years, and we hope you’ll show Sousa Ready Mix that same support as they begin this new chapter!

Well, the cat’s out of the bag!
I’m joining the Sousa Ready Mix crew as Plant Manager & Dispatch in Yreka, and I couldn’t be more excited. Sousa is taking over the old Mountain Ready Mix plant, which means you’ll still find me right where I’ve been—doing what I love, just under a new name! I can’t wait to get back in the seat, get the plant rolling again, and continue serving our community. 💪🏼

And on that note… WE’RE HIRING MIXER DRIVERS! 🚛
For hiring questions or any of your concrete needs, get ahold of Greg Juell at (530) 925-1313 or stop with a resume at the Sousa Ready Mix Mt. Shasta plant at 100 Upton Rd, Mt. Shasta, CA.

New name, same plant, and I’m ready to get back at it! 💙
I’ll still be running this page posting jobs, plant life and more. Stay tuned. ✌️

Mountain Ready Mix may have closed its doors, but the family we built will always remain. 💚
We’re heartbroken to hear of the passing of one of our own, Gordon “Gordy” Breceda. Gordy was hardworking, loyal, goofy as hell, and always good for a laugh. He’ll forever be remembered as the familiar face behind the wheel of #14.
Rest easy, old man. We hope you’re finally at peace and giving heaven a little hell. 🕊️💚

Once Mountain family, always Mountain family.

🚨 STOP WHEELBARROWING CONCRETE 🚨
Mountain Ready Mix doesn’t just batch concrete — we PUMP it.
We run our own Schwing line pump, and once you pour with it, you’ll never want to go back.

🔥 What we can pump:

✔️ 6 & 7-sack pump mixes
✔️ 3/4” aggregate pump mix
✔️ Grout mix
✔️ 6 & 7-sack 3/8” pea gravel pump mix

👉 That 3/8” pea gravel 7-sack mix is a finisher’s dream — smoother flow through the line, tighter consolidation around rebar and forms, less drag, and a cleaner finish.

🧠 What a line pump is perfect for:
• Walls & stem walls
• Backyards, side yards & tight access
• Pours you’d normally wheelbarrow
• Foundations, slabs, footings & grade beams

Faster placement. Less labor. Cleaner pours.

👷‍♂️ The Pump Crew (aka the Two J’s)

Our pump is run by Jacob & Jake — a team that works seamlessly together.

• Jacob handles the pump and hose — built for it and steady on every pour
• Jake (the older Jay) runs the remote, and if the remote ever quits?
👉 He manually runs the pump without missing a beat

They problem-solve on the fly, show up prepared, and always get the job done — no panic, no guessing.

💦 Always prepared

No washout water on site?
No problem. We bring our own water to wash out the pump, so your job keeps moving and your site stays clean.

Concrete + Pump = One call. One crew. One smooth pour.

📞 Call our Mountain Ready Mix crew at 5306430663 or 5305982884
If access is tight or the pour is tricky — we’ve got you covered.
