These are the cars we run against, no slack
Sebring;I wanted to share an update on our trip to the NASA Championship 2026.

Two weeks before the event, testing at our local track went well. We put the car on the dyno, made full power, and completed a final tune-up.

However, once we arrived at Sebring, a wastegate hung up and built 35 psi of boost. We replaced the head gasket, which worked briefly, but the car blew oil again shortly after.

Sebring was not kind to us, but despite the mechanical issues, we stayed for the event and made some great new connections. We are now working on developing a better system for our prep and checks ahead of 2027.

I am writing to share an overview of our work, core philosophy, and recent developments.

Motorsport is fundamental to our identity, driving our involvement in NASA, SCCA, and IMSA competitions. We are dedicated to the camaraderie of the racing community, advanced automotive engineering, and continuous improvement as builders.

To reflect our authentic process, our shop images are never staged. They showcase active projects, ongoing upgrades, and raw, real-time modifications based on our track observations.

Our recent technical focus highlights include:

- Engine & Power Management: Our turbocharged vehicles produce between 700 and 990 RWHP. We place specific emphasis on custom wastegate circuits, which are critical for precise horsepower control rather than standard off-the-shelf solutions.
- Aerodynamics & Braking: We design comprehensive aero and brake packages tailored to support high-horsepower demands on the track. Unlike typical aero providers, our setups target sustained lateral forces of 1.4 g within the first three turns and up to 1.6 to 1.7 g during full track runs, maintaining tire operating temperatures between 170°F and 190°F.

This past year was focused entirely on track development, with our team and we look forward to introducing the results of these advancements in the coming months.

At YMS Racing, we conduct custom aerodynamic installation and downforce testing multiple times a month.

We are currently running extensive testing on three vehicles—a C8 Corvette, a GT4 RS, and a TTU Camaro—achieving lateral cornering forces between 1.55G and 1.6G+.

As a NASA podium championship team, our comprehensive services include:

- Setup optimization and alignments
- Tire testing and suspension modifications (including MCS and JRI struts/shocks, and 5-link suspensions)
- Top-speed runs
- Road course driver coaching using track time and data logging

Our team operates primarily at Sebring, Road Atlanta, Homestead, and Roebling Road Raceway.
