The Role:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Utility Pipelayer to join our field crew. You will be responsible for the hands-on installation of underground piping system, and ensuring the pipe is laid with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Installation: Lay and join pipe for sanitary sewers, storm drains, and water mains.
• Grade Control: Use pipe lasers, levels, and GPS equipment to ensure all pipes are installed to the correct grade and alignment.
• Groundwork: Assist with trenching, shoring, and backfilling; manually grade the trench bottom to prepare for pipe placement.
• Safety First: Strictly follow all OSHA trench safety standards, including the use of trench boxes and proper sloping.
• Teamwork: Work closely with excavator operators and the foreman to keep the utility crew moving efficiently.
Requirements
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in underground utility installation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with pipe lasers.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work in trenches, and pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Reliability: Must have dependable transportation to job sites across Western PA.
