This hands-on role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment across the Corporation's facilities. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, general upkeep of buildings and compounds, supporting operational activities, and assisting with various tasks that contribute to the reliable operation of BVIEC's services.

The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) wishes to advise customers on Virgin Gorda and the Overseas Hotels that we are aware of a power outage affecting these areas.

🎓 TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY: CELEBRATING BRIGHT MINDS AT BVIEC 🎓

The BVI Electricity Corporation proudly congratulates two of our very own young, brilliant minds on their recent academic achievements.

Mr. Malacoy Levons, Customer Service Representative within the Corporate Services Department, recently graduated from the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Jorge Corcino, Database Administrator within the Information Technology Department, graduated from Florida International University with a Master of Science Degree in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence.

Today, we celebrate not only their success but also the future-focused talent helping to power progress within our organisation and the wider Virgin Islands community. ⚠️ DISCONNECTION NOTICE ⚠️

The B.V.I. Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is advising all customers to settle any outstanding electricity bills that are more than 30 days due to avoid disconnection.

Disconnection exercises will be carried out as follows:

📍 Tortola & Virgin Gorda: Monday, June 15 to June 18
📍 Jost Van D**e: Wednesday, June 24

Customers who have been disconnected are reminded that all arrears must be paid in full, along with a reconnection fee of $10 (Residential) or $20 (Commercial), before electricity service can be restored.

⚠️ EMERGENCY POWER OUTAGE NOTICE – VIRGIN GORDA ⚠️

The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) wishes to advise customers on Virgin Gorda, from Savannah Bay to North Sound, including the Overseas Hotels, that an emergency outage is currently in effect.

The outage was necessary after a high-voltage fuse cutout was observed burning, requiring the immediate de-energisation of the line to facilitate safe repairs.

Our crews are currently on-site replacing the equipment, and restoration is expected within 1–2 hours.

The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) wishes to advise customers that power has been restored from Sea Cow’s Bay to Carrot Bay.

Customers from Carrot Bay to Mayaba via Cane Garden Bay remain without electricity while crews continue to address a fault identified in the vicinity of Big Ben Gas Station during investigations.

Our teams remain on-site and are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) wishes to advise customers that the Pockwood Pond West Feeder tripped at approximately 10:50 p.m., resulting in a power outage affecting customers from Sea Cow’s Bay to West End, Tortola, and the island of Jost Van D**e.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the outage and to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
