King of the Wing

King of the Wing The 15th Annual King of the Wing Festival will take place on Saturday, June 13th at Magens Bay. Virgin Islands.

The event is free for the public, but we ask attendees to support the bar and wing sales! 100% of the proceeds benefit a local non-profit organization. King of the Wing is one of the tastiest and most anticipated culinary competitions in the U.S. Every year, teams assemble weeks in advance to perfect their top-secret Chicken wing recipes to be judged on taste, appearance and originality with the

winning team receiving the coveted “King of the Wing” title! The event takes place on the white sands of the world famous Magens Bay Beach, with the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea providing the ultimate backdrop. KOW is organized by Alpine Securities USVI, LLC and the White Bay Group. The competition raises crucial funds for nonprofit organizations. Starting with fifteen teams in 2010, the event succeeded in raising over $14,000. Last year’s King of the Wing boasted 42 participating teams and raised more than $63,000. Our hope is to continue to grow the event each year in order to provide even greater funding and support to the benefiting organization. This year’s beneficiary, the Virgin Islands Children's Museum (VICM), is a 501(c)3 (EIN # 66-0717603) recognized organization. VI Children’s Museum’s mission is to bring children and families together in an interactive educational space where dynamic play inspires a love of learning. We’re truly grateful for the growing support from our boating friends — it means so much to see you all showing up to be part of the King of the Wing celebration!
To help ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone at the beach, the Magens Bay Authority will be on hand to assist with passenger drop-offs and guide you through the process.
📍 Please use the designated drop-off area on the northern corner of the beach (right side near Shed #1) for safely letting passengers off.
⚓ Once you’ve dropped off your guests, kindly moor your vessel in the boating area set aside for the event.
🚫 And for everyone’s safety, we kindly ask that you do not swim from the beach to boats that are outside the designated mooring zone.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep this a safe and enjoyable event for all. We’re looking forward to a fantastic day together — on land and at sea!

The stakes just got even higher at the 15th Annual King of the Wing Festival!

This year's Grand Champion team won't just earn bragging rights as the best wing makers in the Virgin Islands—they'll also win the opportunity to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands at the Charleston Wing Festival in South Carolina this November! 🇻🇮✈️🇺🇸

That's right! Our champions will take their award-winning wings from Magens Bay to Charleston and compete against some of the best wing teams from across the country.

Who will be crowned the 2026 King of the Wing and earn their ticket to South Carolina? Join us on Saturday, June 13th at Magens Bay and witness the competition, great food, live entertainment, and family fun as teams battle for wing supremacy!
