Shire Oak International join the Sao Do Group Celebrations.
Through 20 years of development, the Sao Do group has become a multi-industry corporation with four member companies and affiliated companies, focusing on real estate, construction, building materials, petroleum, and logistics.
To celebrate their 20th Anniversary Sao Do invited local dignitaries, strategic partners, customers, and others to join them on this special occasion.
Representing Shire Oak International, Chris Honour, Head of Strategic Sales said a few words expressing how proud we are to be Sao Do Groups Renewable Energy partner at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, providing green energy via rooftop solar solutions to the park tenants.

Our latest RTS project reached its COD on 1st December 2022 – 1,236 MWp RTS at San Fang factory in Ba Ria Vung Tau.

Not only does it mark our 33rd RTS project in Vietnam but also the project itself is quite special as the RTS is installed on a curved roof.
Installing solar panels can provide high-quality renewable energy for many years to come. Whether you’re doing it to reduce your environmental impact or you’re trying to save money, there’s no denying the usefulness of solar panels. However, many potential consumers are worried because they don’t have a flat space for the installation. Our latest client, San Fang in Ba Ria Vung Tau, is one of them as their factory’s roof was designed in a curved shape.
But Just because your roof is curved doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the numerous solar energy benefits. Our project video below is proof of how we make the impossible possible for our clients.

Shire Oak International attended Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2022.

The Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2022, one of the latest initiatives of European Innovations and Sustainable Solutions for Vietnam, is hosted by EuroCham Vietnam from November 28 to 30 at Sala's THISO SkyHall in Ho Chi Minh City. The event's primary objective is to support Vietnam in achieving its COP26 commitments and the socio-economic development goals specified in its National Green Growth Strategy for 2021-2030.

GEFE 2022 will bring together experts across sustainable business and governance for three days of conferences, exhibitions, and high-level B2B and B2G dialogue sessions. The whole slate of events will act as a platform to enhance cooperation between European and Vietnamese business communities, to promote a sustainable green Vietnamese economy through expertise sharing and technology transfer initiatives.
Shire Oak International as a member of Eurocham, and Green Growth Sector Committee (GGSC) since 2020, is one of the active contributors to raising awareness of renewable energy and accelerating the transition to renewable energy solutions in Vietnam. Our latest work with GGSC was gathering recommended actions to Eurocham in addressing difficulties in implementing RTS projects nationwide with relevant government agencies.

Shire Oak International participated in Britcham's Charity Fun Run 2022 on Sunday, November 27, 2022. The BritCham Charity Fun Run is organised annually by the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam. This sports event helps raise funds for the charities supported by BritCham across Vietnam. The Fun Run has welcomed more than 130.000 participants and raised more than 12 billion VND since it started, with the cooperation of more than 70 sponsors.
After a year of pause due to Covid, the Fun Run 2022 is back with its regular race distance of 5km for all participants, which is challenging enough to make us sweat out all our stress, and this outdoor activity is a good chance for us to reconnect with our colleagues, friends, and families at the end of the year. More than 30 Shire Oak employees and their families cheered as they crossed the finish line. We also visited many charity exhibition booths from various companies, including our strategic partner, Wild Rhino, who encouraged over 5,000 participants to pledge not to consume Wild Rhino's horns.
Music, food, drink, the lucky draw, surprise gifts are other essential parts to make the event a really “FUN” run.

The end of the year is the season for giving back..
Have you ever wondered what a renewable company could do in terms of corporate social responsibility given that their operations already aim to reduce emissions?
We at Shire Oak International are acutely aware of how large-scale infrastructure projects could impact on communities and the environment, but we go beyond the norm, we want our projects to enhance communities and the environment. The story of how Shire Oak International and its honored partner Shoe Dawgs use solar energy to bring savings to Hope Center in Phu Ly, D**g Nai is a perfect example of our corporate social responsibility commitments.
The 34.3 kWp RTS system, sponsored by Shire Oak and Shoe Dawgs, is expected to produce about 51,580 kilowatt-hours annually and reduce electricity cost by up to 8.3 milliion VND d**g monthly and nearly 100 million VND d**g annually. Notably, the RTS system's savings are roughly equivalent to 25 years of annual TUITION for 17 children.

Tata coffee is our 33rd RTS project that reached COD on 24 October 2022. This 850 kWp system is expected to produce about 1,444,995.62 kilowatt-hours and reduce carbon emissions by 1,191.70 tonnes annually. Remarkably, the project would generate significant environmental impacts equivalent to 110,000 trees planted, 299 million scooter km saved and 405 households powered annually throughout its asset life. This, therefore, will help Tata coffee in achieving their sustainability objective as Mr Raghu Narayanam, General Director of Tata Coffee Vietnam once stated: “This cooperation will be the pioneering project in Vietnam market regarding the green energy position in our operations. We are expecting that such a system can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. From this beginning, we might expand the capacity in the future.”

On 27 & 28 Oct 2022, Shire Oak International delegates participate in Solar PV Show Vietnam 2022 Exhibition produced by Leader Associates in Ho Chi Minh City. At the event, Dr. Miguel A. Ferrer, Managing Director, Shire Oak International gives a 30 minute presentation on the Showcase of C&I Solar PV Projects, as well as the company’s expertises and experiences in operating and maintaining these 20 year contracted solar rooftop systems. Later that day, Dr. Miguel A. Ferrer also speaks at one of the key pannels “Seizing the Opportunities in Vietnam’s Rooftop Solar Market” along with the moderator from Baker & McKenzie, and other speakers including Ecoligo, Greencells, Cleantech Solar.

Workshop: “Sustainable Development of Textile Supply Chain: Trends & Solutions”.
On September 16, Vietnam Textile and Garment Association (VITAS) in collaboration with Thanh Hoa Textile & Apparel Association (THTAS) & PebSolar Company, the joint venture between Shire Oak International and Pebsteel (Global) organized a workshop on the topic: “Sustainable Development of Textile : & ”. This workshop's objectives were to enhance the advantage competitiveness of companies to meet the growing for global market production.
Shire Oak International's representatives Mr. Luu Quang Minh and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nhon delivered presentations on solutions for textile companies and how the can benefit from free package solutions for Pre-engineered Buildings and Structural Steel provided by our reputable partner Pebsteel in Vietnam.
The workshop attracted over 180 enterprises and initially delivered some instant outcomes of project site survey in Thanh Hoa and Bac Giang provinces.

On September 21, the representative of Shire Oak International attended the workshop "The Exchange II Matchmaking Workshop" organized by New Energy Nexus and sponsored by USAID. "The Exchange II Matchmaking Workshop" is a part of the Vietnam Energy Exchange II Program under the Vietnam Urban Energy Security Project. The event includes the participation of 08 corporate partners, 11 innovative , 10 Delegates from USAID and USAID Vietnam Urban Energy Security (the project), 17 Delegates from other organziations.
Supporting energy startups to develop the industry is one value ​​that Shire Oak International contributes to the society. Therefore, Shire Oak International has worked closely with New Energy Nexus, an international organization dedicated to supporting energy businesses by providing funding, and promoting connectivity networking opportunities.
Previously, on 15th September 2022, Shire Oak International representative, Mr. Son Bui An, Head of Marketing & PR also participated in a course on Marketing for these 11 small and medium businesses/startups in the energy industry.
