One sentence from a customer changed a process that had existed in our factory for over a decade!
In the past, every time we welcomed visitors to our factory, we would spend days, sometimes up to a week or even ten days for...preparing.
The production team had to carry out a full cleanup, every corner carefully arranged. We even adjusted production schedules to reduce machine capacity, just to make the factory look cleaner and quieter during the visit.
It was a routine we followed without question.
Then one day, a customer from Kenya said something that completely changed our perspective:
“If your factory looks a bit messy, it simply means it’s running well.”
And honestly, he was right. 😀
In the masterbatch industry, a perfectly spotless factory doesn’t always reflect reality. Production, movement, and activity naturally come with a certain level of imperfection. Trying to present an overly polished image sometimes means hiding the very essence of what we do.
That same day, our leadership team made a decision: we stopped “staging” our factory. From then on, we would operate as usual when welcoming customers with real production, real conditions.
Because sometimes, imperfections are the clearest proof of hard work and dedication.
At DPM, we truly value every piece of feedback from our customers. It’s these honest perspectives that help us grow, improve, and move toward a more sustainable future together.
