Southern Petroleum Construction Company, with the brand name and logo of Alpha ECC, was incorporated in May 7th, 2003 in D**g Xuyen Industrial Zone, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The company was founded with the purpose of providing maintenance services and minor repairs to offshore oil and gas industry. In addition, the company’s aims since its inception is work involving, fabrication of steel
structures, piping fabrication, and other essential services needed by the growing oil and gas industry here and abroad. Soon after its establishment, with its core team of engineers, technicians and skilled workers Alpha ECC signed long-term maintenance agreements with, JVPC, PETRONAS Carigali Vietnam and other oil and gas companies. Alpha ECC also began the manufacturing of processing piping and rig construction, which is exported to companies such as Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Vinashin. In 2003, Alpha ECC also gained ISO9000 certificate by DNV certification organizations. A very strong development period from 2004 to 2007 Alpha ECC extended its maintenance services and maintenance and upgrades to rigs. During this time, Alpha ECC has provided services to most of the oil and gas companies here in Vietnam. For onshore projects, the company has participated in many majors gas plant maintenance and turnaround projects in the area such as; construction and installation of plant technical systems, manufacturing structures and turnaround work at Dinh Co gas processing plant, Nam Con Son-BP gas terminal phase 2 expansion and others industrial location. This has been a large contributing factor to our company's development and success. In 2007, with the achievement of the ASME U, S and R certificates, Alpha ECC has ventured into manufacturing pressure tanks and other equipment and technology for the oil industry. From 2007 to now, Alpha ECC has been involved in designing, manufacturing and supplying more than 10 kinds of different equipment and technologies for rig building in Vietnam. The main types of equipment that Alpha ECC designs and manufactures are pumps and chemical treatment (chemical injection skid), filtration and separation units for oil and gas production (separators, open & drain vessels, fuel & utility gas conditioning skids, ...), metering equipment (metering skids) and many other kinds of devices. In 2009, Alpha ECC has expanded production capacity by joining with a major shareholder of East Port Joint Stock Company Trans. This expansion allowed Alpha ECC to expand its workshop area and fabrication yard to 15 hectares with 50 meters of jetty for a boat load of 10,000 tons with plans to expand the docking area to 400 meters in the future
