🚧 Building a second-floor concrete slab, takes more than just pouring cement! Here’s a quick look at the key steps involved in the process, especially for residential buildings where slab thickness typically ranges from 4 to 6 inches (100–150mm), depending on structural needs and local codes:

✅ 1. Site Preparation
Ensure a level, stable base through proper excavation and soil compaction.
Set up formwork (temporary molds) to define and support the slab shape.

✅ 2. Reinforcement

Place steel rebar in a grid pattern to strengthen the slab and reduce cracking.
Rebar spacing depends on thickness and load requirements—secure with tie wire.

✅ 3. Concrete Pouring

Readymix concrete pouring evenly, working across the surface.

✅ 4. Finishing

Smooth the surface using floats and trowels for a clean, even finish.

✅ 5. Curing

Let the concrete cure properly over several days (we’re giving our client 21 days)
