Solarit Academy continued expanding renewable energy education through a 3-day intensive training of Installation of Photovoltaic (PV) systems held at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj from 12–14 May. ☀️⚡️

Throughout the training, participants gained theoretical and practical knowledge on photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, including system safety, solar project development and authorization procedures, the role of PV designers and technicians, measuring instruments, different types of solar systems and mounting structures, as well as the main system components such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, and charge controllers.

The practical part of the training was carried out through Solarit Academy’s Mobile Training Unit, where a real PV construction mounted on a mobile platform enabled students and participants to closely observe the structure and components of a photovoltaic system. Participants also received detailed explanations about the installation process and system functionality under real working conditions. 🚚☀️

We are proud to share that 87 participants were certified during the practical day of the mobile training, marking another important step toward expanding access to renewable energy education and hands-on technical skills across Kosovo. 🌱

Bringing solar training closer to every community. ☀️⚡️

We are excited to launch Solarit Academy’s Mobile Training Unit — an innovative practical training setup created to bring hands-on learning in photovoltaic (PV) systems to every region of Kosovo.

Built with a fully functional solar panel construction mounted on a mobile platform, this initiative allows trainees to experience real PV system components, structure installation, orientation, electrical connections, and system functionality directly in their own cities and institutions.

Through this mobile approach, the practical part of our trainings will no longer be limited to one location. Students, young professionals, and all interested participants will have the opportunity to engage in field-based learning environments that simulate real installation conditions and bring renewable energy education closer to them.

Our goal is to make solar energy training more inclusive, accessible, and practical — while continuing to prepare a skilled workforce ready to contribute to Kosovo’s green transition. 🌱

This mobile training model represents another important step toward expanding renewable energy education and ensuring that hands-on experience is available to everyone, everywhere.

Another successful PV Installation Training was completed through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on field experience at Solarit Academy. ☀️⚡️

The theoretical part of the training was held at RIT Kosovo, while the practical sessions took place at the ELING – EcoEnergy solar park in Zahaq, where participants worked directly with photovoltaic systems in real working conditions and completed their certification. 🎓

From observing installation processes to understanding system components and on-site safety practices, participants had the opportunity to strengthen both their technical knowledge and practical skills in the renewable energy sector.

We are proud to share that 26 participants were certified through this training, marking another important step toward building a skilled and future-ready solar workforce in Kosovo. ⚡️

Day 6 marked the successful completion of another PV Installation Training at Solarit Academy. ☀️🎓

The final day focused on “Connection of Photovoltaic Systems to the Grid” where participants explored key requirements for safely integrating PV systems into the electrical network, along with commissioning and protection measures. ⚡️

We were pleased to have Bajram Alija join us as a guest lecturer, sharing valuable practical insights and real-world experience that enriched the session.

We are proud to share that 26 participants were certified in this cohort, now ready to take their next step into the renewable energy sector.

Day 5 at Solarit Academy focused on system design and digital tools. ☀️💻

Participants worked on designing photovoltaic systems using industry software such as PV*Sol and PVsyst, gaining hands-on experience in simulating system performance and optimizing configurations. Through guided exercises, they explored how factors like orientation, tilt, shading, and location data influence energy output and overall system efficiency.

To connect theory with reality, we analyzed a pre-installed small PV system, discussing mounting structures, tilt angles, and shading impact — reinforcing how technical decisions influence system efficiency. ⚡

At ELING EcoEnergy solar park, participants spent the day immersed in real working conditions, gaining practical experience with PV systems beyond the classroom environment. From observing installation processes to engaging directly with system components, the focus was on turning knowledge into real-world skills.

The journey continues, with a few more days ahead as participants keep developing their technical and practical expertise at Solarit Academy.
