Friction coating MODENGY 1031

📍The international industrial exhibition INNOPROM was held on April 20-22, 2026. Central Asia», which occupies a leading place among the key events of Eurasia in the field of industrial cooperation and technological partnership.

Modengy presented its flagship products at the stand, as well as key new products for equipment in various industries.

MODENGY technology has successfully passed tests within the ITER international project on thermonuclear fusion 🚨

⚛️ ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) is the project for the world first international thermonuclear experimental reactor that is under construction by the efforts of the international community.

The Russian MODENGY anti-friction solid-film coatings technology has demonstrated excellent results within holding tests for the vacuum equipment that is supplied for the ITER largest international experiment on thermonuclear fusion

Due to using the solid lubrication technology, they managed to solve an important problem: to provide smooth sliding of the equipment along the guideways at heavy load.

Without using the coating, significant difficulties arose at equipment starting at the load of 48 tons. Besides, damages appeared on the mated surfaces what caused premature failure of the equipment.

💯 MODENGY coating has provided low friction coefficient which enabled to do useful load initial shifting without jerks, to completely prevent damages (scuffing) what is the key requirement.

🆕 MODENGY 1039: a new color coating to reduce friction in metal-to-metal and metal-to polymer pairs

The typical issues that often arise in the modern mechanisms include fast wear of plastic parts combined with the steal ones, jamming and increased force after downtimes, corrosion at operating within humid or marine environment, deposits sticking-on and icing. These are the exact tasks that became the base for designing the new material.

MODENGY 1039 is created on basis of polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), and due to that it effectively performs in the metal-to-metal and metal-to-plastic pairs reducing friction coefficient and extending service lifetime of the parts.

The following key advantages can be marked out among the others: low friction coefficient, reducing wear of the plastic elements, high corrosive and chemical stability, anti-adhesive and hydrophobic properties as well as long service lifetime.

The Modengy company has presented a new type of friction materials: MODENGY 1031 friction coating 🆕

A friction coating is a functional layer with high friction coefficient intended to provide torque transmission, stopping, and braking.

🔍 This new type of friction materials in the MODENGY product line, initially designed for the needs of the manufacturers of the fastening items, is a surface layer with a high friction coefficient that serves to prevent turning, and to provide reliable fixation of washers.

Creating a layer with a consistently high friction coefficient on the washers is capable to protect threaded connection from spontaneous unscrewing. In this way, fastening connections reliability increasing is provided as well as quality operating of them.

🆕 The Modengy presents an anti-friction coating of a new format: MODENGY 1039 with possibility of creating its different color versions

The new coating is designed on basis of polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), it provides low friction coefficient in the metal-to-metal, metal-to-polymer friction pairs, and reliable operating under conditions of increased loads.

▶️ The parts treated with MODENGY 1039 coating do not get wet with water, their surface becomes hydrophobic.

The very high anticorrosive properties enable to protect metal surfaces effectively even within the aggressive media and when exposed to moisture.

One of the key features of MODENGY 1039 is possibility to release the coating in different color versions.

➡️ The manufacturers of lock valves for oil-field equipment have solved the issue of intensified effort at assembling threaded connections by having applied technology of MODENGY anti-friction solid-film coatings.

MODENGY 1006 coating based on molybdenum disulfide and graphite successfully operates on nuts and gate-valve spindles. It provides friction coefficient reduction and smooth unscrewing of the nut-spindle pair without risk of jamming and galling of the thread.

MODENGY 1006 forms a thing steady layer on the parts that has high load-carrying capacity and anti-scoring properties, long service term, ability to prevent stick-slip motion.

🔩 Application of MODENGY 1006 coating has enabled to provide torsion moment meeting the GOST standard, to prevent threads from jamming and galling at equipment assembly.

This coating is integrated into the surficial layer of the part on the level of microgeometry, due to its capillary and penetrative properties. Applying the product is carried out by the simple method of dipping.

At mass production of the pistons, MODENGY 1007 anti-friction solid-film coating based on graphite is used at the motor plants.

📍Under conditions of mass output of the parts, it is applied onto the pistons skirts by the most productive way, that is by the screen printing method.
