We have branch operations in Ocala, Florida; Moweaqua, Illinois; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Michigan Center, Michigan; and White Oak, Pennsylvania. And as of October 2018 we have added an office in Randleman, North Carolina with the acquisition of another long time Breathing Air Compressor company...Safe Air Systems, Inc. Safe Air Systems has been in business for over 25 years and Bauer Distributors for NC, SC, VA and Washington, DC. As a BAUER Master Distributor, serving a 19 state area, we work daily with our network of regional dealers, most of whom have been in this field of expertise for many, many years themselves. In the spring of 2001, Breathing Air Systems expanded in include a 6000-square foot workshop. Probably the biggest impetus for the expansion project was the increase in demand for our work on mobile air systems. The new shop area is perfect for the need. Two large bay doors face Broad Street, plenty big enough for fire and rescue trucks to enter. Today, you might see in our building at any one time up to a half-dozen trucks and trailers getting air systems installed! We’ve got equipment in almost every state in the country, plus a dozen foreign countries. Our company’s sales philosophy is a firm desire to HELP the customer determine the most appropriate equipment that will best answer his need. We insist that everyone affiliated with our company share that philosophy. Here are some of our extras:
• Sales Staff. When you are talking with someone on our staff about purchasing a piece of equipment, you are also speaking with someone who knows that piece inside and out. The BAS sales staff are also technicians, who spend time in the field, every month, installing new equipment or servicing existing equipment. Each one of our technicians has attended the BAUER training school in Norfolk, VA.
• Service. We can and do service everything we sell. We offer a comprehensive Semi-Annual Maintenance Program and Breathing Air Quality Analysis programs, to which we currently have close to 4,800 subscribers with Safety Labs Plus. We have 24 full time technicians and a fleet of fully stocked service vans ready to respond to your call for help.
• Training. When we install and start up a new compressor, we also provide an on-site training for all personnel who will be operating and maintaining the equipment. We also award certificates for all who participate. This service is free.
• On-Site Start-Up. We do not consider a sale final until we have installed our equipment and started it up to make sure everything works the way it should. We pioneered this service, and are proud we did. Some of our competitors have attempted to copy this service, and we take that as a compliment to our company.
• Parts Center. Our stock of spare parts and materials is probably the largest in the country. Customers can phone in their requests to our toll free number and their orders are given highest priority.
• Dependability. We have established an unequaled reputation in our field for honesty, dependability, and integrity. No one can provide better equipment, give better or more complete service, or has more knowledge about making and storing high pressure breathing air than we do. For over 50+ years we have provided both Fire Service, Military Service, SCUBA divers and Paintball enthusiast with the best in equipment sales and service, and we plan on being around for a long, long time to come!
