Yesterday was my mums birthday. After work I was heading over to see her to do some work on her home for her birthday and instead my father died.
He died in the arms of my mum, his loving wife and we all sat with him for hours holding his hand.
For the past 5 years he has been suffering so so much with terminal illness aswell as other disease and every single day has been so hard for us all. We have grieved so many times throughout the past few years and almost trained ourselfs in preparation for the day he actually would die.. and yet nothing could of prepared us. I still feel very numb and get hit by tidal waves of pain and then numb again.
My dad was my best friend and the bravest man I will ever know.
He is finally at peace and out of pain. I pray that he is on his next great adventure.
