Purdue Day of Giving is here!
This year we were able to not only design, build, and present our machine at the Rube Goldberg Machine Competition, but we were also able to start outreach initiatives in the Greater Lafayette community. Educating about STEM concepts to young learners using our machine and what we learn in classes every day at Purdue helps us give back to the community! 🖤💛🔨

We are so thrilled to announce that we won Best Final Step, People’s Choice, and First Place overall for the collegiate division in this year’s RGMC hosted by Rube Goldberg along with many sponsors earlier this month! It was an amazing experience all around and we are so proud of our work as well as all the other competitors across the divisions.

We couldn’t create these contraptions without our wonderful support network of friends, family, alumni, and so many more who follow what we do! We’re looking to build on our incredible success in last year’s where we raised a significant amount of money in our first year involved in the event.

Purdue Day of Giving 2024 is tomorrow!! So we ask once again for your support in keeping this club going and encourage you to consider donating to our team. Each and every dollar goes towards supplies, tools, and other materials that go into the brand new machine we make every year.

Donations have to be a minimum of $10 and 5 donations of $10 help us more than one $50 donation due to the opportunity to win bonus funds based on the number of individual donations each group gets.

A massive thank you to all who participated yesterday in making a record crushing
Purdue Day of Giving a groundbreaking one for us as well!

We received a total of 222 total gifts throughout the course of the day which was good for 6th place on the leaderboard for all Student Organizations! We don't have a final number yet but given the minimum donation numbers and the bonus we won, that means we raised at least $2,820 to put towards building the foundation for the future of this organization and all the incredible work our team will put together for years to come.

Again, thank you for being a part of such a special event and supporting us in our passion, this is only the beginning!

Today's the day! It's and we're already off to a great start, currently sitting at 8th on the General Student Organization Leaderboards in Total Gifts, so keep it up!

We're just about an hour away from our challenge starting at 7pm ET for Student Organization with the Most Gifts, so be ready to give us a chance at extra funding for future machines!

We're less than 24 hours away from Purdue Day of Giving, and today we're looking at the challenge that we're looking to win to get extra funding towards our club!
The table shows the challenge: Student
Organization with the Most Gifts. As our last post explains, more individual $10 donations gives us a higher tally of gifts, giving us the best chance of winning this challenge!
To make your donations count, they have to be sent in between 7pm ET and 8pm ET. To our supporters around the country, the table shows what that time window is in all the different time zones across the country!
We're super excited for what tomorrow will bring and hope you join us in building the future of our organization!

We are ONE WEEK AWAY!!! Next Wednesday, April 26th is when Purdue Day of Giving goes live and donation links become active to support your favorite organizations, like us!

Our team’s link is in our bio where you can click on the “Make a Gift” button shown here to start the donation process.

Any amount is greatly appreciated, but the minimum donation amount is $10, and if you are interested in donating more than $10, it would help us out even more to add those donations in separate payments of $10 each due to some of the challenges for Purdue Day of Giving having to do with the student organization with the most individual donations, which gives us a chance to win extra funds!

We can’t wait for next Wednesday and hope you will join us in supporting student organizations through this exciting event!

The Boilermaker Chain Reaction Team is officially a part of Purdue Day of Giving this year!

For those who don’t know what Purdue Day of Giving us all about, it’s an annual online-based fundraising event that takes place on Wednesday, April 26th this year. For 24 hours, students, alumni, faculty and staff, parents, friends, and fans from all Purdue units are encouraged to give back to grant opportunities to transform lives at Purdue.

Mark your calendars, and keep an eye out for more information on how to donate to help support us and the chain reaction creations we will continue to make for years to come!
