We were pleased to welcome at the HiRECORD pilot plant at CaO Hellas Group
- the Deputy Minister of Education of Greece Prof. Nikos Papaioannou
- the Vice-Rector of Research of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) Prof. Ioannis Rekanos,
- the PI of partner Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) Prof. Panos Seferlis and
- the HiRECORD coordinator Dr. Athanasios Papadopoulos, MEng, PhD.
The Technical Director of the CaO Hellas Group Mr. Giorgos Dimitriadis explained how the HiRECORD technology is a major step forward, towards addressing the decarbonization challenges faced by industry.

Θα εγκαταστήσει καινοτόμο τεχνολογία δέσμευσης CO2, με την χρήση περιστρεφόμενων κλινών και αμινών, με το ευρωπαικό πρόγραμμα HIRECORD, σε συνεργασία με την CARBON CLEAN, τα πανεπιστήμια IMPERIAL του Λονδίνου, το πανεπιστήμιο της Βιέννης, το Leeds University, το ΑΠΘ, το ΕΚΕΤΑ, την ELPEDISON και την Helleniq Energy.

SINTEF is proud to announce the launch of the Horizon Europe project COREu, the largest Research and Innovation project in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) ever funded by a European programme.

The 6M project progress meeting was hosted by Carbon Clean in London. HIRECORD will develop and test a 10 ton per day capture plant based on Rotating Packed Bed technology with an advanced solvent. The plant footprint will be 10 times lower than conventional technologies and will operate under less intensive conditions. Significant reductions are expected in costs, environmental and safety impacts, as a result.
