It's really easy the higher compression an engine has the more power it has and the better mileage it does, on any fuel but especially ethanol.

If Peter Zeihan is right (I think he might be) Globalisation is over, it was only a cold war ploy for the USA to get allies against the Soviets anyway, so EVs are untenable. Because China makes the batteries and the aluminium for the frames is closed now. Even when it re-opens it won't be reopening to the same world

In North America, the U.S. and Canada there's space, and space to grow the feedstock for biofuels as both can make more power and do better mileage than gasoline and diesel, especially ethanol you just have to use them in the right compression engines.

Now the US Navy isn't warranting global trade China won't be shipping cobalt from the Congo EVs won't be a thing anymore. If people still want to have a green car bio-fuels are it. Or if they want a car that has paid off its footprint. Some types of diesel engines run as is, but ethanol engines need to be 13 to 1 compression

13/02/2023

It depends on where you live which type of transport solution you should buy. If it's sunny get electric you can put solar panels on your roof and have clean, cheap energy for your house and car, but if not then convert your gasoline car to ethanol by increasing the compression to 13 to 1.

12/02/2023

As electric cars can be external combustion engines they should be used only in places where the power supply is mostly renewable. in some places this is true.

12/02/2023

Why do you think California has better efficiency for solar than Germany and Arizona even better? If you want to be green build solar where it's sunny, build wind farms were it's windy but please please don't buy electric cars were the electricity is made by burning coal

If you live where it isn't sunny then bio-diesel or ethanol are your options. If you have a diesel-engined car or truck, the good news is, pretty much any diesel will run on bio-diesel straight away, but you just need to change the filters after a week or so, and ethanol will work anywhere if the compression is 13 to 1 or above.

Every car on the market today comes with a fossil-fuel engine installed they only make climate change worse. If it's a petrol/gasoline engine. You'd have to rebuild the engine and change the compression to 13 to 1 to have the same power, but you would do much better mileage.

It's not that Big Oil made and sold a fuel that they knew was causing climate change that angers me, it's that they paid deniers and misinformed to say it wasn't fossil fuel's fault so they could protect their market share.
