Today, the House of Commons has published a report on ‘Tackling the drug crisis in our prisons’. Within the report, they have called for the Ministry of Justice to act now and install Drone Defence's SkyFence across every Category A prison in England and Wales.

The message is clear: the prison estate must be protected from the skies.

Earlier this morning (14 August 2025) the eight cooling towers belonging to Cottam Power Station were demolished, ending over 50 years as a Nottinghamshire landmark.

The Drone Defence team were on site to film the demolition and monitor the airspace. As you can see in the video, our AeroTracker system detected multiple drones and pinpointed their operators, proving just how busy the skies were.
