Texas Inventionworks Check our Instagram for more information! Use of the equipment in Texas Inventionworks is free and no experience is required.

We have 3D printers (SLA and FDM), laser cutters, desktop CNC mills, a plasma cutter, testing and electronics equipment, hand tools, and more. Texas Inventionworks is open to undergraduate and graduate students in the Cockrell School of Engineering. We provide training to use the equipment, the tooling, and printing materials. We will also stock a supply of raw materials and sheet goods that you c

an purchase from us at cost, or you are welcome to bring your own materials for certain machines. If you bring your own materials, it will need to be approved before using it on our equipment. Our tools generally can work with plastics, wood, and soft metals (aluminum, copper or brass), although our specialized equipment can handle steels. Texas Inventionworks is open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm from Monday through Friday during the long semesters. It is located in room 0.602 in the Engineering Education and Research Center (EERC).
