(formerly Biomolecular Therapeutics Inc.) is a biopharmaceutical company in South Korea focusing on next generation nucleic acid-based therapeutics based upon RNA interference (RNAi) technology. OliX is using a proprietary RNAi technology called cp-lasiRNA. The asymmetric, cell-penetrating RNAi (cp-lasiRNA) technology minimizes the non-specific responses triggered by con

ventional siRNAs at the same time maximizing the delivery to target cells. This technology is ideal for therapeutics development for topically treatable diseases such as skin and eye diseases. The cp-lasiRNA technology and its first therapeutic program for anti-scarring were introduced in Nature Biotechnology in 2012 as one of the promising RNAi therapeutic program. The company intends to discover, develop and commercialize novel RNAi therapeutics either on its own or in collaboration with partners.
