We’ve had a very kind and astute lady pop us a few videos wrt the grounded bird..
From what we are hearing and seeing, the raptor seen is a juvenile learning.. and with the added continual rain, it might just be a bit damp, hampering flight.

We have reports of a downed Eagle (may well be a juvenile Honey Buzzard) at the Benoni country club.

It is grounded and spending time on a Cycle path .. but we face no further info.
If anyone is going out to use the cycle path, please be on the lookout for this raptor… if you can send us a clear pindrop of where it is, that will help (as we understand that path is between 6 & 20km long).
It is like looking for a needle in a haystack 😞
