The Copper price contributes directly to the scourge of theft and vandalism of essential infrastructure and will not abate soon. The problem in South Africa is compounded by utilities employing generic security strategies which don't only cost a fortune but seems to suggest clear signs of the strategy being entropic. The deleterious effects is evident all around us and only when revenue protection is identified as the main objective and successes not measured on the number of arrests can this be mitigated. In addition the intervention of Early Warning and Preventative Technologies is the only definitive solution to remedy the situation (there are case studies to support this claim).
