⚜️6. PEBBLE, PEBBLE, PEBBLE.

The video says it all……..

Just remember that because our product is Eco-Friendly (and 100% UV STABLE), it means that it does not like water because water dissolves it. Water meaning : moist, rain, dripping or running water etc.
So keep your bucket of water where you rinse your cloth and wash your trowel away from the area you are pebbling.

Our pebbles touch dries in 2 hours but only fully cures in 7 days. It cures by means of the elements = wind and sun. NOT WATER. So for those pebbling outside make sure you check the weather app to have sufficient time for it to cure. You can also speed up the curing by means of fans and industrial heaters.

It is safe to lightly walk over the pebbles in 2 days but avoid constant traffic and placing any furniture.

We know the waiting is a lot but it’s soooooooo worth it to have this premium product that not only adds class and modernises your space but also adds VALUE to your property.

⚜️5. The tools for the pebbles.

Now that your base coat is done, aluminium strips are in place, we hop onto our pebbling side.

You would need :
1. Your pebbles.
2. A pebble trowel.
3. A big scraper (this is what we use to scoop pebbles out the bucket as you don’t want to use your hands, you can use something else, we find this the best).
4. A bucket of water (to rinse your cloth and trowel.
5. P100 sand paper (to sand off the sticky pebbles after a while).
6. A cloth (that you will dip in your water and rinse dry to have a damp cloth where you can often wipe your trowel on.)
7. Bricks (to place your damp cloth on top. You don’t have to use it, you can also place the cloth on the floor but we find it easier on the bricks because of the edge).

The reason we wipe our Trowel on a damp cloth is to get the excess pebbles off the trowel whilst we pebbling so that when you pebble you don’t have scenarios where the pebbles keep lifting with the trowel because you have existing pebbles stuck to the trowel. Think of it as gum stuck to a wall : when you have a piece of gum in your hand and you dab the gum on the wall it will gel together and on one side it will stay behind more until the whole piece is one.

You will find that even though you wipe your trowel from time to time on the cloth, there will still be buildup and that’s where the sandpaper comes in handy.

⚜️ 4. But what if your floor has cracks already ?

Our Fill A Void product will sort that out.

It will cover your cracks and chips and holes to make sure your floor is even before applying your base coat.

Like we said, you can fill these spaces with our pebbles BUT YOU WILL WASTE YOUR PREMIUM PEBBLE PRODUCT and will end up ordering more.

⚜️3. Lets start.

You will need :
-Your Base coat.
-A mohair roller (to apply the base coat).
-A separate little bucket (to scoop out the base coat from the container you receive it in).
-A baby grinder (to cut your aluminium strips).
-A measuring tape (to measure your strips and the area).
-A pencil (to mark your measured area).
-Silicone gun (to discharge the silicone).
-Normal Silicone (to “glue” the strips down).

The base coat provides a grippy surface for the pebbles to stick to. Although you can find other base coats at normal hardware stores, please keep in mind that it will have a chemical reaction with our ingredients so you will be left with discolouration in your areas of pebble application.

After assessing and cleaning your floor and making sure it’s dry (no water or damp) and free of any and all debris we apply the base coat with a Mohair roller over the whole area you know you will be applying pebbles. Think of it as painting a wall, you don’t go thick, just enough to cover.

After 5-6 hours you can feel if it’s dry, if not then leave it for another hour and come back. It should feel rough like sand paper and not sticky.

Then we stick our aluminium strips with the silicone. This is needed for where your pebbles will end, if you are making patterns or using the aluminium strips for the edges of stairs etc. Leave it to dry for 2 hours.

Our products are eco friendly which means it dissolves in water, so please make sure your space is dry and that there’s no chance of water.
