**Decades of commitment honoured at the 2023 Long Service Award Function**
Barberton Mines hosted a long service awards ceremony on Friday 18 August 2023 at The Capital Hotel, Mbombela. Nine employees were acknowledged and honoured for their loyal 40 years services rendered at the BML operations, with a tenth employee commemorating 25 years of service. The aim of the event was to appreciate and recognise our employees who have delivered loyal and outstanding service contributing to the success of the Barberton Mines’ operations.
During their journey, employees have gone above and beyond their call of duty to deliver outstanding work for the company, despite facing significant societal and economic upheavals in our communities in recent times. Barberton Mines recognises their efforts and wish to express our thanks and appreciation towards these employees for showing exceptional resilience and determination, while providing incredible work in the most difficult of circumstances
Long-servicing employees need to be commended for their ability to adapt with the needs of the business as time goes on. Thanks to their extensive experience they add to a constructive company culture by guiding and coaching employees who follow in their footsteps. Serving at a single company for so many years, reflects exceptional loyalty and commitment.
All these special employees have followed different career paths, worked in different capacities and are of different nationalities, but each one has made a conscious decision to contribute their skills and expertise to Barberton Mines, which sets a remarkable example to our colleagues.
