Our Story: Igniting Minds and Inspiring Futures

For the past decade, we embarked on an extraordinary journey as educators in Geoje, South Korea. Guided by our passion for teaching and our unwavering belief in the power of education, we dedicated ourselves to enhance our own knowledge of education. During this time, we had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible impact of robotics pro

grams on students' education. We saw how it sparked their curiosity, fostered critical thinking, and nurtured a deep understanding of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) concepts. Inspired, we knew that we had to bring this transformative experience home to students in South Africa. Chingu, meaning “cool” in Xhosa and "friend" in Korean, reflects our vision of creating a friendly and inclusive environment where students can collaborate, learn, and grow. We wanted to establish a community of learners, where students could forge strong bonds, support one another, and collectively embark on a journey of discovery. With our experiences as educators and our deep understanding of effective teaching methods, we set out to curate a collection of robotics kits that would captivate young minds and empower them to become the inventors and problem solvers of tomorrow. We carefully selected top-quality components and technologies, ensuring that our kits were not only durable but also capable of delivering the best educational experiences. We are incredibly proud to share an inspiring project-based learning experience made possible through our partnership with the World Robot Olympiad (WRO).

Learners from Laerskool Totius, Boston - Offisieel took on a real-world challenge — tackling the growing problem of plastic waste and bottle caps. 💡♻️

Using our AIKIRO sets, students followed a full design thinking process:
🔍 Researching the problem
📝 Planning their solutions
🛠️ Building their prototypes
💻 Coding their robots
🎤 Presenting their innovative ideas

The results? Creative, thoughtful, and impactful solutions that show just how powerful robotics and coding can be in shaping future problem-solvers.

This is what meaningful learning looks like — where technology meets purpose. 🚀

𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙊𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙍𝙤-𝙀 🎮🤖

Many of our partners know that I’m not usually a big fan of pre-built STEM equipment. I prefer hands-on building and engineering where learners construct and create from the ground up.

However, after Roborobo showed me their product, Ro-E again at Bett 2026, I decided to dust off my set and give it another try.

As someone who enjoys gaming, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed creating my own games and then playing them using Ro-E. The coding concept is strong, engaging, and makes logical thinking very accessible.

For that reason, we’ve decided to make it available in South Africa.
