Long story short, another client asked me for a quote in December 2022, I quoted 1xLuxPower, 2 x 5kWh LithiumBatteries, 8x Solar panels and Labour for R120k, he then decided to go for a local installer whom installed the below for R90k, which was very cheap I agree.
The client called me last week to apologise on why he didn’t take my Quote and give me the job,
His complain…
The system below switches off once it reaches 3.12kW load, the batteries only lasts for 1.5hours , when he complained at the installer, the installer wanted another R31k to install a 3kW GEL battery system, in total the client has spent R121k for a system that still is not functional,
He says the electricity bill has not improved.
Look at the workmanship and tell if it’s worth R121k, exposed wires , incorrectly rated fuses, no chop over between GEL and Lithium battery System .
The only solution I gave the Client is to install a total new system which I can provide warranty on, he can move this system to his farm side to run the Borehole pump.
Always as for track record from Imstallers before asking for a Quote.
